A Cat, A Crepe & the Eiffel Tower

Bienvenue a Paris!
We've made it safe and sound and already had ourselves a few adventures. I feel absolutely jet-lagged. Like I could sleep for about ten days straight. But when you are in Paris there's no time for sleeping! So press on we will! The flight was okay (bad food and restlessness aside). We also delighted (not) in our friendly neighbour who brought a CAT on the plane. We were either lulled to sleep by the meow meow meows of the kitty under the seat... or the wonderful gravol we swallowed back. During take off, the cat was so excited it relieved himself right there in its cage. Bleck. Talk about travellers diarrhoea... ha ha.

Naturally, the first thing we did when we got to Paris was buy and eat a delicious baguette. You would not believe the amount of people who just trot around carrying baguettes. It is not a myth people, but true fact. Parisians loves baguettes.
For dinner we managed to order some food, which was a bit of a victory for us. I had a delicious crepe full of greasy cheese and Champignons. We ate on a bench in the middle of Fashionista Paris. A very cool stretch of shops full of extremely ritzy clothes.

Our evening adventure was a visit to the grande Eiffel tower. We had already seen it earlier in the day, as we were waiting to check in to our hotel - but then went back at night when it was all a-glow. So incredible. We rode to the VERY TOP of the big ol' thing and it took my breath away. Talk about feeling insignificant. It was a beautiful view. We took the stairs on the way down, which was also pretty darn cool.

Next stop: the Louvre and Notre Dame.
