In about 3 hours we board the ferry. It's fairly bittersweet leaving this Greek Island Paradise, not only because we love it here, but also because it marks the beginning of our trip's end. (Nothing a good pancake breakfast won't cure though... mmm). If you've heard the rumours - they're true: we're coming home in about a week. Although, from this point until our arrival in the Great Motherland we have much to do. Firstly, I need a large supplier of kleenex. My nose is a TAP! Unfortunately, I have contracted a cold over the past few days (thank you Nicholas) and it's being rather unfriendly. Snot aside, I am thankful that this is the only time I've been sick on this adventure.
So we are headed back to Athens today to take in the sights once again. The weather doesn't look cooperative, but we are hoping the ferry will still be running. In the city we have a couple bookstores to hit up, as well as some insane markets to peruse... not to mention the OLIVES I need to get my hands on. Oh yah, and there's that flight we need to catch! Post-Athens we will undertake a few more days of travel, making our way north into the snow. Bleck. Goodbye mediterranean... Hello long johns. Our route takes us from Athens to Italy, for a quick stopover in Milan and naturally, some Italian Pasta. Continuing onwards the following day we fly towards Denmark for our final visit. Wowie. It's going to be a fabulous week!
